Completion requirement
Complete ALL of the following Courses:
ENGL 353 must be taken twice; once for 3 credits with the Poetry topic, and once for 3 credits with the Fiction topic
Earn at least 12 credits from the following:
Notes:
ENGL 205 must be taken for 3 credits
ENGL 353 may be repeated once for credit
ENGL 498 you may apply 3 credits maximum to this requirement
ENGL 583 can be taken with a medical or science-related theme
Chair may approve up to 6 credits of English Department courses not specified above
A student may declare a Creative Writing Minor or a Professional Writing Minor, but not both. Neither Writing Minor is teacher certifiable, but a Writing Minor is generally favored by public school employers as a complement to the English Major.
